Standing Up Again After The Moment Of Despair

By Sharon Richardson

Depression is something that humans should not ignore and be laughed about. When a person experience that, not only it would cause emotional impairment to him or her but also in social aspects. That mental disorder usually rooted from severe sadness and pain that came from certain situations. It could happen to anyone. For that reason, help and guidance are required so those people will recover after waking up from a morning of despair.

Most the times, a human cannot predict those tragic events that will occur in life. Just like a storm, it brings destruction. Those events can break you into small pieces that sometimes, putting those back together takes years to be fixed. Many happenings could indeed change you either in better or worst manner. When a surgeon got into an accident, causing him to lose his arms, it is really depressing on his part. That example shows coping up after learning that you cannot do things you like to do anymore is not an easy task.

For example, an ace basketball player was involved in a car accident. And his legs were damaged on that incident. As a result, he missed the finals in Nationals and his team was defeated. That will really be devastating and desolating in his part and perhaps that moment will keep on haunting him.

Experiencing those incidents especially in regular days is not good anymore. You cannot let yourself tolerate those pains that you felt always. Your friends and family are doing their best to help in order for you to function well again. However, you chose not to.

Sometimes comforting words from people may not help you to become even better. Probably you are not even listening to what they were saying at you. Most likely because you feel that they do not understand anything at all for they have not experienced what you were experiencing at the moment. You tend to avoid others and you cannot be blamed for it. However, you still need to help yourself. You cannot just stay inside your room forever and let yourself being devoured by the despair haunting you. Doing nothing will just make your situation even worse.

Everyone experiencing that kind of emotion wanted it to fade. But how will that be achievable if you have no willingness to move forward? If you choose to remain that state, you may reach to a severe state to the point that nothing can help you anymore.

Losing someone so significant to you feels like something was also taken from you. But some humans do not want to cry or just pretend that nothing happens. That procedure is definitely wrong. Grieving is okay but not always. You also must accept that sadness in you and let it out. Remember that humans are not robot. Therefore you cannot just hold back that feeling and pretend to be numb.

Crying forever will not really help. That is why, you also need to stop and think about what is good for yourself. Moving on could absolutely take you long. Nevertheless, you should not hurry yourself with that process like getting another partner to heal fast. No. Take things slowly so you could figure out if your heart is no longer in pain, Once, it happens you may start again.

It takes time and willingness to stand up again. Life is always unfair. The only thing you can do is to fight against the unfair system and not be swallowed by your darkness.
