There's no reason to be lazy indoor anymore. Go out and start hiking or jogging with your dog to get fit for the summer. Getting outside to enjoy a beautiful warm day with your dog not only gets you closer to the nature but also helps you keep fit. Walking This is one of the most known lifetime sports. I mean everyone is doing it, more or less. Walking for half an hour a day, for at least five days a week, you can lower the risk of high blood pressure, diabetes and heart diseases. Walking your dog will help you improve your fitness and health form incomparably. Owning a dog is an excellent trick to incorporate walking into your life. This activity is good for your bone health, as well for your dogs.

Jogging Jogging is a form of aerobics exercises. Jogging is popular since it is easy to do and it brings countless health advantages. When you decide to do jogging, make sure to start slowly and gradually increase the distance or time. Before you start a jogging program, you can talk with your doctor to see what jogging distance and time you should start with. When you go jogging with your dog, you have time to relax, relieve stress while burning the calories.

Hiking It is believed that hiking makes you happier and healthier. If you are a nature lover, you'll enjoy what hiking brings. Hiking requires minimal equipment. You'll need only a good pair of shoes and it's even better if you have your dog as a companion. Hiking frees you from daily stress, reduces depression and provides you with better quality sleep. Before hiking with your dog, you should make sure you carry the needed equipment. Most hikers will take a backpack to carry water, hiking boots and also the dog shoes when they decide to hike with their dogs. Like jogging, you should start small first.

Water Sports You already know by now that your dog loves water. If you're going on a holiday or you have an ocean, a pool or any other water attraction near your home, you can practice some water sports with your pet. If your dog is a good swimmer, take her surfing with you. Catch the perfect waves and maybe you will even take some surfing lessons from your pet. You can also swim with your dog.
